We are pleased to announce that we have signed an Exclusive Distributor Agreement for the China market with the TAN Consulting Team, which is comprised of TAN Consulting LLC and D&C Instruments. Mr. Terry Nenaber, the owner of TAN, has 30 plus years of experience in the market. D&C has 5 offices spread across China with the headquarters located in Beijing. D&C has been selling and servicing LDARtools products since 2014.

Chateau Update Enables New, Key Features

This weekend we updated our Chateau Cloud and posted a new version of Freedom to the Google Play Store.
The update involved more than 120 updates, enhancements, and improvements- virtually all of them driven by current Chateau users.
The key improvements are:
  1. Full implementation of M21 Calibration Failsafe. A Technician cannot monitor with an uncalibrated phx (21 or 42) when Chateau and Freedom are used with Cal5.0.
  2. You can now set Chateau to automatically close a leak when a passing PPM is recorded for that Component. Chateau will record a LeakCloseWhy = “Passing” for those leaks. The good news is that this is an optional setting. If you want to keep closing (all of) the leaks the old fashioned way, you can.
  3. You now have the ability to fully utilize LocationUnits (LUnits) to help Technicians find components and Process Units to apply Rules and Regulations and run Reports. THIS is a new day in LDAR database management!
  4. Chateau Builder is now designed to enable you to apply Rules on a wide range of Component Properties (including Process Unit). But you don’t have to use Process Unit and you SURE don’t have to rely on anyone to apply a rule directly to a component.
  5. By popular demand, you can now add components to an existing tour from the Request Inspections Wizard.

LDARtools Employee Spotlight: James Wilson

James Wilson is the newest addition to our LDARtools family as a Repair Technician bolstering our already amazing team.

James hails from Louisiana and Arkansas with a background in Physics from Northwestern State University in LA. He’s had a variety of experiences teaching physics and astronomy at Alvin High School and working part-time as an instructor at Space Center Houston. “I enjoyed teaching science because I liked to create new lab experiments and activities,” says James.

So far, James finds himself at home at LDARtools and appreciates the environment we try to foster. “I like that everyone at LDARtools holds themselves to a very high standard,” says James. “I know that the work we do has important consequences on the safety of thousands of people living and working near potentially hazardous chemicals. I quickly got the impression that the phx21 and phx42 units represent the future of LDAR technology.”

Off work, James typically volunteers at the 1940 Air Terminal museum near Hobby airport. “I also enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, or visiting other museums with my wife Anna,” he says.

phx42 Locator Feature Now Available

If you have ever wondered where your LDAR analyzer was, those days are over.
One of the newest developments of the phx42 experience is the Unit Location Feature.
All you have to do is log into the LDARtools Customer Portal, navigate to the right screen, input the phx42’s serial number, click the Unit Location tab and a map like this appears with a red icon indicating where the unit was the last time it was connected to the 42App.
