THIS IS A BIG DEAL
This is our third celebration since introducing phx42.

We are so excited, that we plan on making this celebration extra special…
We are planning to offer ice cream this time as well.

(Look for complete details and our RSVP form on Monday)

Thank you to all the phx21 & phx42 Level 1 Techs and users.
Continued teamwork and diligence, makes this all possible.

Since June 26, the Spanbox5s that are capable and configured to report to our servers, have reported the results of 288 Drift Assessments.

Of these 288 Drifts, 287 passed. That is a 99.65% success rate.

Of course, we are shooting for 100%, so we are determined to learn from the single failure.

It happened on July 2 and the issue was not reported as a problem to our Tech Support group. When I called the Site Supervisor (to see what we could learn), he was quick to tell me “don’t get me to say anything bad about our phx42s. We love those things.”

I left it at that, and asked our support group to track this a little more closely (and more quickly) the next time.

For today, we are celebrating a 99.65% success rate!

This achievement is a result of the superior design of the phx42 AND the extraordinary onsite maintenance of the Level 1 Techs and probe management and handling of all the phx42s users.

Congratulations to all of our users who continue to make the phx42 system the standard of the LDAR industry!

43% of the units we have repaired in the past 2 months have come in with a damaged probe. Here are a few tips to help keep your probes in working order:

  • Pair the probes with specific phx42s and help Technicians learn how to care for the probes.
  • The best way to prevent drift failures is a weekly Probe Integrity Inspection and focused Technician training.

In an effort to maintain our industry-leading repair and maintenance processes on the fleet of 1,200 phx21s, we are announcing the following updates to our policies.

We will continue to keep our on-site, Level 1 Repair Certifications as the industry standard. Currently, more than 75% of all phx21 (and phx42) issues are resolved on-site WITHOUT having to send the unit in for repairs.

Effective July 1, 2019, our billing rates will be:

Update on the End-of-Life for phx21

On March 29, 2017, we announced the inevitable end-of-life for phx21. With the demise of the TVA1000, the reality of this becomes more real. For instance, the phx21’s certified pump has been in-service and unchanged for 11 years.  While we have endeavored to source parts to support repairs until April 1, 2022, it is impossible to anticipate what might happen.

If you would like more information about the Extended Warranty opportunity or if you  have any questions, please contact sales@ldartools.com.

We are pleased to announce that we have signed an Exclusive Distributor Agreement for the China market with the TAN Consulting Team, which is comprised of TAN Consulting LLC and D&C Instruments. Mr. Terry Nenaber, the owner of TAN, has 30 plus years of experience in the market. D&C has 5 offices spread across China with the headquarters located in Beijing. D&C has been selling and servicing LDARtools products since 2014.

LOGOf
This weekend we updated our Chateau Cloud and posted a new version of Freedom to the Google Play Store.
The update involved more than 120 updates, enhancements, and improvements- virtually all of them driven by current Chateau users.
The key improvements are:
  1. Full implementation of M21 Calibration Failsafe. A Technician cannot monitor with an uncalibrated phx (21 or 42) when Chateau and Freedom are used with Cal5.0.
  2. You can now set Chateau to automatically close a leak when a passing PPM is recorded for that Component. Chateau will record a LeakCloseWhy = “Passing” for those leaks. The good news is that this is an optional setting. If you want to keep closing (all of) the leaks the old fashioned way, you can.
  3. You now have the ability to fully utilize LocationUnits (LUnits) to help Technicians find components and Process Units to apply Rules and Regulations and run Reports. THIS is a new day in LDAR database management!
  4. Chateau Builder is now designed to enable you to apply Rules on a wide range of Component Properties (including Process Unit). But you don’t have to use Process Unit and you SURE don’t have to rely on anyone to apply a rule directly to a component.
  5. By popular demand, you can now add components to an existing tour from the Request Inspections Wizard.
If you would like to see more information on other improvements and enhancement,  just let us know.
And thanks, again, to all our friends who have made this progress possible!
